I am not a big fan of reading books, even when they are the most interesting books ever written. However, in my Into. to Emotional Disturbance class we have to read 4 books, all written by Torey Hayden. I have sucessfully finsihed reading One Child and Somebody Else's Kids, and for this I am very proud of myself. Usually professors assign books to read and they sit under my desk only to be sold back at the end of the semester. I am looking forward to reading the other two books for this class and I hope to force myself to go get all the others. Because of this class and the books that I am reading in it, I think that I know what I want to do with myself as far as teaching. I have so much respect for Torey as a teacher and as a writer. I can only hope that I will, one day, come close to her successes in teaching. I just want to say thank you to Torey Hayden for writing these books and showing the world how beautiful people really are. Through her books, Torey made a difference and provided me with aspirations for the future.
