Question:  What was the main idea for this book?
Answer:  Pages: 2 and 27
Mary Ellen thought that reading was boring.  Grampa had to figure out some way to show her that it really   was not.  Grampa decided to find a bee tree.  The finding of the bee tree turned into a real adventure.  Once the tree was found and the honey collected, Grampa used the honey to show Mary Ellen that books can hold adventure, knowledge, and wisdom.

Question:  Do you think that the way Grampa showed Mary Ellen that reading was fun, was affective?  Why?
Answer:  I think the way Grampa showed Mary Ellen that reading was fun, was very affective.  The method he used was great.  He took her on an adventure and showed her how reading could be adventurous as well.  This method was much more affective than Grampa telling mary Ellen to use her imagination while reading.
